I live in Frankston and times for positive geared properties are gone (there were some properties in North Frankston going for 70 – 90 K three years ego but now close to 200K).
I believe that Frankston is still good for grawth as you can still get properties on west side of railway line (beach side) for under 250K (just).
As for the tenents in Frankston you get the good with the bad. No different to anywhere else in Oz.
Frankston is getting new marina , Shopping Centre will double in size soon.Frankston may be the last bayside location that is still affordable but not for long .
Hi Enduser.
I agree with you. There is a land on cnr of Overton and Inglis in Frankston (approx 1200m2).It has a permit for 4 units (3 two storey + 1 single storey). Owner wants to sell it all for $450K. It went to auction in May and it was passed on at $365K. Now different agent and even higher price.
Is it possible to make money on developing site like this ? Its only 200m from the beach.
Considering taht units may sell between 250 to 300 K is this worth while ?
Broome – beautifull place.
Problem – very expensive. Don’t think you find anything there under 200K. Rent would be in around $200 per week mark but not enough to make positive geared property. There is a new estate north of Broome on the Cable beach and all houses are above $1 Million.
Broome is a Byron Bay of West Coast Australia.
After buying one property with one agent I know that I would not use this agent to sell my property. He was putting more pressure on seller rather than get best price or him.
I would sell my property with Jenman recommended agent though. They worked for me rather than buyer.
