Hi all, can someone send me contact info (via either this forum or private msg) for the BEST mortgage broker in the whole of NSW.
I have some immediate property investing needs (to buy something by year end) plus lay the foundation for additional future purposes.
Thanks,

Hi jaxon / all – regarding the supply/demand equation, is it fair to say that there will always be demand for rental properties in Gold Coast, but that the price growth won’t be spectacular?
ajayayyar replied to the topic investing in gold coast in the forum Help Needed! 7 years ago
THanks all – appreciate your points.
My personal view is that there is room for solid growth in Gold Coast town houses and houses (but not necessarily units).
Here are some examples I am seeing on realestate:

Thanks Sarah – but would you say steer clear on Gold Coast apartments only (given the large supply), or also houses and town houses?
ajayayyar replied to the topic investing in gold coast in the forum Help Needed! 7 years ago
Hi Benny – that’s what I’m betting on. But it’s surprising there was such limited growth in Gold Coast houses over the last 10 years.
Articles such as these seem to contradict this. Am I missing…[Read more]

Wow that is surprising.
I am visiting Gold Coast briefly in a week or two to look at properties.

Hi all, I ended up buying a property in the Central Coast area (Lake Munmorah) in a secure community estate.
I’m considering the gold coast area and maybe albury for the next investment opportunity.
Anyone who has thoughts on the area around gold coast would be great – I am considering either a house or townhouse but not an apartment.
Regards,

Hi Bbinvest,
I know your post goes back a while, but I would go for option 2 or 3. I think central coast is a great place to invest and I just bought a property there in lake munmorah and intend to hold it long term. I believe there is a fair bit of infrastructure going in the area, and its right between Sydney and Newcastle. Jobs are also…[Read more]

Hi all,
I have been hearing mixed messages regarding this but I am considering investing in the gold coast area, either a house or townhouse. Some people have said there’s an oversupply of stock, particularly apartments, but when I look in areas such as merrimac and carrara, I am seeing very low vacancy rates and good rents. Gold coast is also…[Read more]

Hi all,
I am considering investing in a property in Lake Munmorah – a small free standing house.
I was wondering if anyone familiar with the Central Coast market could provide some advice on this, including future growth drivers and any other info, pros and cons?
Kind regards,

Hi all,
I’ve recent heard a lot of talk about the government introducing schemes to prevent/limit the influence of Asian buyers on the Australian property prices. Can someone shine some light on the restrictions and what it means from a short/med/long term perspective, as I’ve been hearing a lot of conflicting commentary on this?
Many thanks,

Hi originalsinner,
I’m starting to look at some areas now – areas I am considering are Central Coast (NSW), Leppington (NSW), Logan (Qld), and Albury (NSW/VIC).
Aiming to secure something by end of the year.
Cheers,

Hi all – could I get some guidance around where and how I could find ‘fire sales’ where receivers have been appointed to sell properties for low prices. This is where someone cannot afford to make payments and the house has been recovered by the bank, and needs to be liquidated.
Are there any particular tips or strategies any of you…[Read more]

Hi Simon,
I’d steer clear of the property – the risk seems too high.
Consider this – the next buyer of the property (when you sell) is likely to notice the same reference to ‘termites’ in the inspection report. While it may not actually be a major issue, the potential impression itself is a risk. This highlights the importance of a building…[Read more]

Hi Parky,
If your folks are after cash now, it’s fine to sell – the market is still hot.
I believe your investment in Botany still has good long term potential – near the airport, near the city, detached house, limited land.
In summary, if they’d like some cash now, I would sell. Otherwise, just hold on to it – I reckon you can’t go wrong…[Read more]
