    Hi aaronj,
I’m not quite sure what your question is. But if you are asking whether a lender will accept centrelink payments in the same manner as wages when deciding if you can afford a loan, it does depend.

For example if you want to use family payments as part of your income, your children must be under 12 years old. (i.e. the income must continue for at least 5 years.)
Lenders generally won’t accept unemployment benefits. As for youth allowance, I’m not sure but probably not as there is no guarantee on it continuing.
    Hope this helps.

    Aaronn,

Great idea! whats the website for the defence housing? would that be under the army website, or would you have to call somewhere to get a hold of the responsible authority?

Try http://www.dha.gov.au a warning check the local prices I’m not saying they would put there prices up

this is my last day at work, got my redundancy payment (yeehaaa!!), so now mortgage on PPOR is almost paid off and 1 IP. i was in IT (yep, lots of us around) and management consulting, was not bored, just exhausted, too many buzzwords and long, soul-less hours. have been toying with running my own business in something totally different, got involved in trying to set up a cafe with a “friend”, believe me – it’s true, think twice before you enter a partnership with family or friends…still trying to sort that one out. have plenty of ideas, just gotta focus. love to get more IPs and love this forum.

    Hi folks
In the past they have been varied from long distance driving horses ect but it’s funny how things change at the moment it’s this forum, a bit of house sitting (a good way to travel), this forum, dreaming of the future were the kid’s get of there expectations and find a job the will last (ha) ow and this forum it’s the only one I’ve found were there are no questionable conversations
