We've just implemented this feature. You can "watch" any forum or blog post by clicking the "You are not watching this post, click to start watching" link under the original post.
You can manage your watch list, and if you'd like this to be automatic or not when you post a new thread, or comment on a thread. This can be done from your profile page.
Thanks for your patience guys. More changes are coming.
You can upload a profile picture by clicking "Edit Profile" under the top left block that says "Welcome, JDKirkman" and then uploading a new image using the upload form on that page.
I'm about to implement some measures so that hopefully you won't have to do it any longer for spambots. The "Report Abuse" flag will hopefully be more for advertising/inappropriate comments.
Sorry about this one. It's not actually a glitch, because the reward system from the old site needed to be reset. As compensation we've given you a badge that reflects the level that you earned in the old system. This badge can no longer be earned by anyone else, so it should become rarer. We're also thinking of making it part of some bigger reward.
We’ll definitely look into the issue. When you press a key (when typing a reply), do you mean that the blinking insertion point cursor moves and positions itself next to a same letter that is already in the reply text? What happens if the letter doesn’t already exist?
Glad you have noticed the recent changes. At the moment the awards, points and increase in interactivity is being trialled. We'll be implementing a fairer point system and more awards as we determine the best way forward, and of course after getting feedback from you guys
Once we've implemented a fair system we'll be looking at offering incentives to reward users with. This will range from simply increasing your reputation in the community to actually receiving prizes (which are still being determined).
Derek – We definitely understand your concern over spam. The idea of the system will be to encourage users to contribute quality content. We will have measures to remove methods and any incentive to try and game the system in the first place.
For the rare occasions where someone slips through, it will be simple to remove any ill-gotten gains
Thanks for the suggestion. We have now tripled the amount of posts per forum that the “Active Forum Topics” page will display.
The “Active topics since” drop down filter does still apply though, so in order to see more posts in some of the less active forums, or to reach this new limit, you’ll probably need to change how far back it should filter.
Please let us know if you (or anybody else that might be reading this) think extending the limit even more would be beneficial, or if you have any other suggestions.
Considering your posts were removed about 8 months ago, we can't exactly give you a break down on why that happened. From memory and from reading my previous comments, they were highly inflammatory and tactless. It's fine to post your experience with a company (as long as it falls under fair comment), but it's not ok to open yourself (and us) up to legal action by carelessly writing content that could easily be construed as libel. We agree that this can sometimes be a grey area. As Steve said:
"With this in mind, we simply request that people who make posts stick to the facts and keep as much emotion and opinion out as possible."
In Australia, libel laws are very biased towards the "injured" party. It is mostly up to you to prove your claims, and not the plaintiff to disprove them.
If you are indeed "speaking the truth" about absolutely everything you say and you do not want to adopt a more careful tone or to be less derogatory, then please post some of this "hard evidence to back it up". Posting your contact details would also go a long way in proving that you're willing to stand by whatever you have to say; rather than hiding behind the anonymity of a public forum and expecting PropertyInvesting.com to defend your claims.
You can find the webinar in the "Webinar Archives" section of the RESULTS website. The latest webinar was held on the 5th June at 1:00PM. It was the last webinar for the RP4 program, so I'm not sure if much of it will be relevant to you. You're more then welcome to listen however
To post a new forum topic, navigate to the forum you want to post in (where it shows a list of all the topics in the forum), and click the “Post New Forum Topic” button at the top or bottom of the page.
Currently all three of those products are being revised and updated for the current market.
At the moment, the new versions of Buyer Beware and WealthGuardian are set to be released some time in July. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA on Renovation Toolbox as of yet.
We will be releasing a Masterclass Starter Pack and Masterclass Advanced Pack in March, so keep an eye out for them if you're interested.
Great to have you aboard Reeco! I hope you're getting prepared for the program when it starts this year, and that you're also attending the webinars
We very much invite feedback and questions about the RESULTS program, and other products on these forums. It is extremely beneficial for you and other members in determining whether the program is right for you or not. We also like the quality of our products and services to speak for themselves.
If people would like more information directly from us however, I'd recommend calling the office or writing us an email as we can miss seeing forum posts.
Advertising in your signature while contributing posts that are on topic and constructive is fine. It does not matter how long you've been here for, but it helps with credibility when determining if the posts are there to serve a purpose or not. For example, leaving a comment such as "Great post" in every thread along with an advertisement in your signature is going to be seen as spam.
If we didn't have these rules then the forum would look like the Yellow Pages. There are exceptions (usually when a service or website being promoted is very relevant to the topic and valuable to other members) but those are judged on a case-by-case basis.
Thanks for reporting this guys, it has been dealt with.
Private message spam can be hard to stop right away as we don't monitor messages for privacy reasons. We need you to please report offending users like this in the future by simply going to their profile page, and clicking the report abuse button.
