All Topics / Help Needed! / Christmas gifts to tenants?
Hello! Im sorry if this has already been discussed.
I have decided to buy my tenants gifts this year, I am thinking something along the lines of a gift voucher.
I am unsure of what to write in the card as I do not want to come of cheesy.
Can anyone please give me some ideas.
Thank youMerry Christmas
Don’t forget to claim a tax deduction (TD 2016/14)

Give them a Calendar instead with the rent’s due date highlighted clearly for each month. :D :D :D :)

Personalised named Deposit books so they can pay in their advance rents.
Never given any one of my Tenants a Xmas present and don’t intend to start this year.
Cheers

haha that’s a good one Richard.
I don’t think I will be giving tenants Xmas gifts as well. I attend to any matter that requires fixing quite promptly so I think that is the best gift I could give a tenant. Be a good landlord.

Interesting decision – I wouldn’t even know my tenants names without checking, I try to keep things running as a business than personalised.

I give good tenants voucher of 50 bucks for movies once a year
Me too, I follow the same philosophy, am I mean……….
Too personal, keep relationship professional. Maybe send a Christmas card. No matter how good a landlord is, it always falls apart at the end if something goes wrong with the bond claim – ALWAYS!
I give all of my tenants 2 weeks rent free over the christmas period. Always have and always will. This can allow them extra money for presents, additional time off work, a holiday or even just an extra large feast over christmas. In my experience that gesture alone is enough for them. Some continue to pay regardless of the free period to put themselves 4 weeks in advance ( which is beneficial in a crisis!). BUT I am also a renter myself and therefore may have a different view of my tenants. Good on you for being in Christmas preparation already 😀
Bunnings voucher – they might spend it on improving your place :-)
Movie tickets are always nice.
Cheers
