lol chuckles all round today when reading this NAB article explaining how they think totally reasonable for them to be gouging investors because of different risk profiles.

NAB had always appreciated the different risk levels of lending to investors and owner-occupiers, he said, but the bank was now also taking into account the fact that economic conditions for property investors were almost “as good as they get”.
Yep you are right home owners and investors DO have different risk profiles and INVESTORS should be given LOWER rates as they not only have their own income coming in to pay the mortgage but ALSO the income from tenants, so there are TWO sources to service any mortgage.
Its obvious investors should be “shopping elsewhere” for a bank that understands this.
