Hi Everyone,
I bought and IP and it appears the bathtub was painted white previously.
Its all stripped back now revealing sanded back ghastly yellow and the tenant wants it repaired.
My question is I want to repair it and claim the deductions tax wise from it and not be a capital improvement.
Has anyone had experience in this?
The only methods of repair i can find is respraying it professionally (5yr warranty) or a bath liner (10 yr warranty)
I figured if i replace the bath with a new one and replace the smashed up tiles it would be considered capital improvement and not a repair?
Many thanks
