Afternoon All,
I have just spoken to a Real Estate agent about a property which we will inspect tomorrow,
He said the following: the property is on a block which was subdivided, creating two blocks running north-south both now with houses on them, one of which is the one we will inspect.
However the boundary either side of the property is incorrect in relation to the current fencing, positive or negative I'm not sure. Supposedly the Vendor is talking to his solicitor to have the matter rectified.
This area is fairly foreign to me and I was wondering what questions I should be asking and what issues I need to be aware of. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The REA needs to be able to show the buyer where the property boundaries are for the property he is selling.
Pretty basic stuff for a REA, especially if it requires the expense of moving fences or moving anything else and involves neighbours.
Subdivision would require a survey. Request a copy.
If no-one can show you where the boundaries markers are, then request a survey and or rectification to your satisfaction as a conditional part of the deal.
