    Hi all

I am currently looking onto buying a 3 bedroom house with a 1 bedroom unit attached.

I was hoping to rent them out individually to increase the rental income. From

    320 to 390

To rent them out separately I need to put in a electricity sub or flow meter. So that the tenants foot the bill for the electricity.

I have just become aware of new energy laws that  would require me to gain an electricity retail license or exemption.

Looking briefly at the guidelines it seems, I may possibly, be able to get an exemption?

Has anyone had any experience with this?? Is it worth the hassle?

Too hard to comment without knowing what state you’re in.
