All Topics / Finance / borrowing capacity
Hi, Looking for someone that might be able to help out trying to find out what borrowing capacity we have. Would this be done by a mortgage broker or financial planner?
Should we look at trying to find someone to speak to face to face? We are in Sale Victoria.
Thanks
Joey
Hi and welcome aboard.
Mortgage broker – and doesn't need to be face to face if you're comfortable with email/phone.
Cheers

Hi Joey,
Have you tried one of the online calculators the big banks provide? A quick way to get an idea of general capacity.
I wouldn't bother with online calcs – especially not for an IP purchase. Not very accurate. Banks can vary widely on what they deem a borrowers max capacity to be also.

Joey, a quick call to one of the brokers on this forum will be the way to go. Don't worry about meeting face to face. I have used brokers and have not met them in person. No big deal.
