Hi, we have sold our PPOR and are currently looking at purchasing a new one.  We are also new to property investing and are looking to purchase 3 residential property investments this year.  My husband works for a company and I am currently not working, so we don't own any businesses.  Would we be best to put our PPOR and investment properties in to trusts.  What are the advantages and disadvantages?  Thanks

    Hi Haddy

    Welcome aboard.

Your question is too broad to give a decent response.

For what reason(s) are you considering trust structures?

    Cheers

    Jamie

Hi, one of the main reasons is protection from getting sued from tenants (although we would have the relevant insurances).

Tenants would still be able to sue the owners of the property = the trustee of the trust.
