    Hi

My wife and I are looking to purchase a home here in Qld. The price is excellent (although the home needs some work). However we were under the impression that a high set home legally needed two have at least 2 exits for fire safety. I have searched around the net but been unable to verify this. Does anyone have any knowledge in this area? The home only has a back staircase so we are wondering if we were to purchase it then would we be legally required to add another staircase?

Greatly appreciate any feedback and advice.
