    Hi there,
I basically lived on my PPOR in Australia whilst i built it over 2 years(caravan), then when it was finished i rented it. It has been rented for 3.5 years. I am able to rent for 6 years without CGT. However what sort of proof do you need that you were living there, i have some bills etc from back then but thats about it. Also if I were to live in it again for 12 months prior to my 6 year exemption for CGT, could I then re rent it for another 6 years and avoid CGT??

    Hi 3rd Deg

Any utilities connected in your name or Voters Roll evidence should be sufficient.

    Cheers
