    We have asked our agent to stop selling our property before the expiration of exclusive sale authority and they have marked on the exclusive sale authority "now void".
    Is that mean if we have a good offer from another agent and sold our property before the exclusive sale authority expire. We will not be liable to any commision to the agent?

    Please confirm as my solicitor has no idea.

    You will have to read the agreement. Some state that commission will be payable if someone they introduced later buys the property etc.

    The EAC contract has a provision for termination upon 7 days written notice from either party.

    Out of desperation I had emailed REIV and this is their response today.
    "If the agent has agreed to end the appointment you should obtain from them a letter stating that you are released from the obligations of the authority under which they were appointed."
    Which the letter I have obtained from my agent after I emailed them treatening if they are not giving to me I will get my solicitor to demand it.
