Ive been doing due diligence on a certain property – great price, good nic, 450m sq, over all a good buy but its on quite a busy road. id say its around a km long stretch and takes up to 20mins to get through on a busy afternoon. the property is quite similar to other properties in the area except for the location. it is also around 65% of the median of the area.
Is it worth having a real crack to purchase as a rental investment…any one else been in a similar situation and got anything to add from they're experience???
cheersThe major thing I’d be worried about is having troubles selling it later on. What happens when you want to liquidate down the track? Chances are you’ll be faced with the same issues that the current seller is probably experiencing. Also, the location may have an affect on the vacancy rate – one hour to drive up the road…..I wouldn’t be keen to live there (then again, we’re pretty spoilt in Canberra when it comes to traffic).

houses on a main road is a big no no for me;
1. It’s hard to get tenants- Young family hates main roads as well
2. Trying to organise inspection is a nightmare due to the parking and access
3. Noise
