Seriously considering an NRAS purchase in SA (Munno Para West), but am curious about some costs and and would like the thoughts of others in comparing  to other states/NRAS providers.

This provider has an 'Establishment fee' of $2,200 and a 'Facilitation fee' of 10% (I assume this is annual)

Also, If we decide to get out of the scheme, before the 10 years is up, if we sell to another investor who will continue with NRAS, there is no cost, but to exit fully then there is a fee of 7.5% NRIx years remaining in the scheme, or $2,200, whichever is the greater. This fee supposedly covers the cost to replace the property with another eligible one.

    Thoughts?

    Hi Frank,

    Welcome to the site.

Apparently there are several different models on how NRAS works financially.  Check out the post by euro73. https://www.propertyinvesting.com/forums/property-investing/help-needed/4334012?gocid=224224  Also, if you do a search of the forums you will findquite a few threads dedicated to the subject.

    Hope this helps,

    Andrew
