    HI we need some advice,

My wifes parents want to give us the deposit for a home loan to build a house. The are we live had strong house prices so when the house is built we expect the house to be worth 100k more than the build price, if not a bit more. So we do intend on paying this money back with our equity once the house is built.
Our combined income is 128k and we have an investment house with strong rental about 6.4% return. It is in our trusts name, but not enough equity

THey are with the bendigo bank with there home loan, have paid out the whole loan bar 34 cents, which there bank manager said to leave open, they still actually have 15 years on there loan. Now does this mean they can draw $25,000 from this because the loan is still open. Does anyone know how the bendigo bank works with a redraw, what questions do they ask, ie reason, income etc. Or can it just be done, because they are so far in front.

So our cash has gone into the rental house, and also we lost 24,000 due to a gravely ill child, who is doing well now.

So things are getting back on track except the deposit.

Even if we take there money and sit it in our account for 3mths. So we just need to know if they can redraw the money.

    Kind Regards
    JAs

    Hi Jas

Normally if they have online access to the mortgage account they should be able to do this online or at least by faxing the Bank a redraw request. Bendigo wont care less what the funds are used for as it is a redraw.

As far as you are concerned there are still lenders that will do a construction loan without evidence of genuine savings although might need a Stat Dec from your parents.

    Cheers
