My wife and I both hold EU passports (mine British, my wife’s Irish), and some day we hope to like in Europe for a year or two. To this end I’ve been looking at European property a bit, firstly to rent out then eventually to maybe live in. Does anyone know if any EU countries have particular tax benefits for property buyers, such as no CGT?

    thanks
    Simon

The Netherlands as the gateway to Europe. The general Dutch corporate income tax rate is 25.5%.This rate is more than competitive in the region as all countries surrounding The Netherlands have higher corporate income tax rates. Also the taxes on income distributed are in general much lower than in other countries. The international tax treaty network and the membership of the EU ascertain minimal taxation on payments to the group.
