I'm subdividing my investment property and building a townhouse on remaining 400sq block.

There is an existing brick garage which requires demolition and two mid-sized trees which will have to be removed.
We're budgeting about $6000 for demolishing and stump removal – is this accurate?

Additionally, could anyone recommend any companies/contractors in Melbourne (Eastern Suburbs)?

    Thanks

    Hi,

We used Gravity (based in Blackburn). They were quick and demo'd a mud brick 2 storey for around $10k. A lot of other companies came in around 12 and 14k. You should be pretty right for $6k I would think. Do you mind telling me who you are using as your builder? I'm trying to work out whether we need to shop around more.

    Thanks
