All Topics / Value Adding / Appliances that are rental friendly – How can you tell
Hi Gurus and Apprentice Gurus
One of units just blew a dishwasher and we are going through the machinations of buying another one. So I am thinking when it comes to appliances for rental properties you really need reliable products that are good value for money.
Is there a forum dedicated to this or does anyone know of how to get info on how good various products have performed in rentals?
It’s a long shot but you never know if you don’t give it a go…
cheers all
They may not be attractive but they sure are reliable – go for an older-style mechanical 'knob' type dishwasher. These things work like clockwork (because they are), they have few electronics to fail. Don't go for your cheapest dishwasher brands (so go for Dishlex), get an extended warranty.
Just purchased a Dishlex DWDX103WK basic model for $595. very easy to operate and less gadgets to cause issues.
don't forget to claim depreciation on it.
Cheers for the feedback all
when we replaced our dishwasher, the service guy (who wasn't affiliated with nay company in particular), said any decent brand if good, just not Fisher & Paykal – he said this brands keep him in business, when it comes to repairing white goods.
Fisher & Paykel was good when it was still owned and made in NZ. I had mine for 15 years, no hassles.
