I am keen to hear peoples thoughts on the current interest rate situation. I saw today that 2 of the big banks are raising their current fixed rates. I have heard some people comment that they are now going to fix their home loans. What does everyone think about this for owner occupied and Investment Properties? All of mine are currently on variable rate, but i am concerned, if i leave it too long and go to fix later in the year, the fixed rate offerings wont be as competitive.

I would also like to hear peoples opinion on this fixed rate rise. Is this an indicator of rates rising in the near future? Also i know that it is hard to predict in this specific time, but what are peoples predictions for the next couple of years regarding Interest rates.
