During the last great depression the Bank of England sent out a couple of important people to pursuade the Australian Govt into signing an agreement that would stop Australia from defaulting on its overseas/UK loans, despite the hardship going on at the time.

Australia agreed and signed, this was called the 'Melbourne Agreement' ( i think).

My qstns are-  " Weren't the people that were sent out connected to the rockefellers/rothchilds?"

and   " is this agreement still valid today?"

    Google it – melbourne agreement.

    Long history of Scullin (PM).
Agreement was repudiated by later PM (can't recall who but it is in the article).

The australian economy has come a long way since, so has world trade and economics.

No, they sent out Lord ???? from the UK not a seppo.

Yes, the same people who own the Reserve Bank Australia..

Now Kevin Rudd has announced that he infact is a liar and will not have any surplus in his budgets,  Which if I recall was one of his Top points on his policy documents if he won the election,  Even a few days ago he said there was no way he would go into deficit.

Just shows you what Evil Ignorant and Arrogant Puppet like figures we have in parliament,  They will lie through there teeth to you and then turn around the next day,  admit they will do the exact opposite and laugh at you. No accountability at all.

Now we will borrow money at interest from the Privately owned RBA which they make out of thin air so we can pay it back to them through bailouts… and "economy stimulus packages"  Talk about the joke of the millennia

And does anyone even care ?  NO of course not,  Actually not only do we not care,  We demand our government to rape us with budget deficits and handouts to the same people who own the private central bank that gives us the loans made out of nothing that we have to pay back at interest

Just like Carbon Tax,  Everyone admits now that really the earth is getting colder again,  But we should pay the global warming tax anyway,  Because we like being lied to and being treated like scum plebs

Argg who cares anway,  We have more important issues to deal with like,  do we have either Pizza or KFC for dinner and discuss who will win Gladiators tonight ?

Fair go. Things are changing rapidly and therefore our leaders must also change. Would you really want our head boy to be pushing policy that has become irrelevent. Be real. Things are changing week to week so its good that he is acting when he can. Do you still think fuel watch is top priority ????

PS And you really are too hung up on these bogun ideals you THINK we all have. Relax like me.  Im going in the torana down to the pub to buy a case of VB then me missus shaza is gunna make me hot dog for dinner while we watch kath and kim on our lounge in the front yard with our six kids.  phht.

    OK, lying is good

Can you please explain to me how going into grave debt is good for the economy and how it will fix everything ?

America is in debt over 10 trillion and that does not seem to be solving all there problems….

Maybe we just need to increase the debt to 100 trillion to fix our economy,  That would be cool,  Then we can continue on with 20% a year property booms :D

I can assure you i have no idea. But i am sure as s@#t they know more than the keyboard heros on here and other forums. Yes politics has its fair share of idiots but there has to be some brains in there. Easy to to be critical from the side lines.
How do you think you would go in the top job

At present all we're seeing is spin doctoring & BS from KRudd & nothing in the way of support from the states (NSW is an exception, it is broke and Qld isn't far behind). Regards your comment with Foolwatch, is was a political stunt (sounded good at the time to those who aren't in small business or understand economic theory). Yes it might be easy to criticise from the sideline however when the leader of the country can stand up in parliament addressing the country for 20 minutes and making an announcement announcing that they will be running the first deficit budget in how many years (a bit of a turnaround from the $10B + surplus just over a year ago), there is no wonder why people are starting to see through him and his lack of substance. HE was all too quick to criticise the strength of the economy when taking over the reigns in 2007 along with his treasurer talking it down on the world stage but he only now is coming to the realisation that he has blown a hole in his shoe. Yes, we may avert a recession but we will not escape unscathed.
