    Hi,

I'm looking to buy land to build and i notice that when you buy a land and home package, the builders often say that site costs are covered. What are site costs and would i in general have to pay for it when i buy the land but find a builder to pay for it?

Also, what are soil tests? What is the purpose of it when buying new land for building homes? Thanks.

    regards,
    Pat

Soil tests are to determine the bearing capacity of your soil, and is used to design appropraite footings for your building.
