Hi, am new to the forum and I'm certainly learning alot!
Wondered if anyone had any advice on buying IP in North Adelaide around Elizabeth/Salisbury Plains.
I'm told growth will be good (>5% CG) over next few years and that rental yields are ok.
My situation – one PPOR,one IP in our home town Orange NSW. We looked here for another one but everything is too pricey or in very dodgy parts of town.
Budget is 200 – 220 tops. (median prices around these suburbs seem to go from 180 – 220).
Main question is whether we should buy in northern adelaide suburbs as will be lots of redevelopment and if anyone has any views on where to avoid in particular (ie. housing commission areas) and whether we should consider an "off the plan" house and land package – have seen them through World Concept homes but don't know if they are any good or not.
Adelaide is my husband's home town so we will be going over next month to look around and do some research/talk to agents but would be very grateful if anyone can give us some initial advice.
