I would like to buy an investment property in another state in a regional town as I live in NSW and property is too expensive. I was thinking of Tasmania or a Victoria.
I have a sick little toddler so I cannot travel, but I look at realestate.com and domain.com every day.
I was wandering is it ok or too tisky to buy site unseen? Or how do I go about buying one is another state? Is it safe enough just to get a building and pest inspection?I have bought about 10 properties unseen. I wouldn't recomend it though unless you can get someone you can trust to look at it for you. You never know what is next door or around the corner. Using a buyer's agent is a good idea, they charge fees for their service – but it could be worth spending the money as it could save you a lot in the long run.

Sorry how do I go about getting a buyers agent?
Just look around. There are plenty on this forum and if you can't find someone you could post here asking for recomendations. I think their fees are around 2% of the purchase price.
