I would like to hear from people who have, had or otherwise experienced living on a waterfront property in Sydney.
I am in the market for one to live in myself and would like to share your experiences.
I started getting a bit concerned, (not much) when I approached the town planer of the council for one property I am interested in, to get the flood levels on the map. When I started talking about a jetty and a boat shed the guy started to shift his weight from one foot to the other mumbling words like 'lifestyle choice' and '2 year waiting for approval'. I am aware that NSW is governed by a form of mafia, not much I can do about that, yet how big of a problem can it be to become the focus of attention of the small person in the council when wanting to build a shed a jetty, or a couple of extra rooms?
