What do folks on here think of the Residex Report (http://www.residex.com.au/index.php?content=rprr)

Is it worth shelling out for?

The good thing about the Residex reports is they can alert you to possible growth areas that are coming up, and they show you what areas have been doing lately. They are good guidelines to use.

You still need to go out do some research to establish how good the areas are or will be.

It could be worth it if it saves you time by narrowing down your search areas.

Another excellent source is Terry Ryder's Hotspotting.com.au . I have found his reports to be very good sources of info, and very well priced. Check it out.

is there much difference between these reports? is it worth getting both, or is one better than the other?

I dont know anything about the hotspotting report but i'll be checking it out.

Ive used residex reports, postcode reports that detail streets Ive found useful. I also bought one of those top 100 'burbs. As they are based on past performance they cannot take the place of your own research. If you know a place that is getting a trainline,  bunnings and woolies , you can bet it is about to boom. Anyways I claim what i purchase on my tax.
