    I have just purchased a block of vacant land which 1 paid $128k two weeks later I Have been offered 175k is there a way of reducing capital gains on this property.
    My wife is not working and does not have any income if that can help

    What names are on the Contract.

    If you joint names did you buy it as Tenants in Common (and if so what share split) or Joint Tenants.

    Are you employed or self employed ?
