All Topics / Help Needed! / Help finding a financial planner
Hi Folks,
My first post, although I have lurked [smiling] and “listened” with keen interest to a number of your intelligent and enthusiastic discussions. Thanks for those.
I’m hoping to find a couple of strong options for a financial planner that will help me asap.
I’m in Melbourne, own the family home equity unused, have a couple of IPs, some equity, and a few shares with some gearing. I know this forum has emphasis on +ve gearing, but my preference is to obtain further property with strong growth potential, and I want to maximise what I can get done this year. However, I need a plan, which I’ve never operated with to date. I need to find an honest, passionate, caring, property-savvy advisor – I’ve heard there’s one or two of them, but you’ve got to look hard apparently!!
I’ve heard good things about Steve Navra’s company, however he doesn’t seem to have planners/representatives in Melbourne, so that doesn’t appear to be an option for me. Katrina Gay (nee Nicholson?) who is now with The Salisbury Group got some good mentions on anther forum I had a look at. Does anyone have recent experience with Katrina and/or Salisbury?
Any advice, comments, recommended planners, and dealing with planners would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, SteveD
Hi Steve
Firstly welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy yoyr time here.
Maybe not be in Melbourne but most of my clients are inter state so would be happy to offer my assistance.
I am a long time property investor who has 1 or two IP’s to say the least and have been on the forum for around 7 years.
Hopefully you can get a reference or two if needed from a few of the other forum posters.
Cheers
