Hi all.
Does anybody know how to find out what price a property was sold for years ago? Most local councils should be able to tell you, or try the titles office.
Cheers,
Marc.
[email protected]The easiest way is to just ask the real estate agent, they normally have this in their paperwork. But it is a pretty useless figure. Eg I just looked at a house yesterday that sold for $63,000 back in 1988. So I know that if I buy the property for $180,000 the previous owner made $117,000 less expenses. Good on him.
If it is in NSW, send me the address and I can look it up on RP data. Otherwise go to the website of the Landtitles office and you can do a search for around $10.
