Aussie’s Investing in NZ

I know there are numerious posts on this topic but i just have a small question.
Most aussie’s are investing in Nz for more depreciation, less tax and no stamp duty and therfore lessining closing costs, would there be much price difference between paying stamp duty in australia rather than flying to NZ ,staying in hotels and looking for properties there? wouldn’t the traveling bill be close to the amount of stamp duty required in Australia?
