Hilton Fiji
I was speaking to a real estate agent that works in Fiji today who told me that the second stage of the Hilton at Denarau Fiji was under threat.

He said that the developer had sent out letters to purchasers advising them that the costs of development had escalated and that purchasers were asked to contribute as much as another $100,000 to their purchase price.

So far Ive heard this from only one source. Can anyone else verify whether there is any truth in the above rumour?

Are there any purchasers out there who have received such letters?

Interested to hear more.

Chedi Fiji
A week or two ago I also heard from a very reliable person in the know that the management contract for the Chedi (the Boats) was not going ahead.

Apparently the managers GHM came to Fiji for the big signing ceremony but were not happy with the development and refused to put their name on the contracts.

I believe the above two projects are both being developed by a Neville Mahon.

Again can anyone else shed light on this information?

regards Batch

PS Im an investor in Vomo Fiji (www.vomovillas.com) and concerned about the overall market. I hope the above problems arent the case.
