    Hi there everyone,

I am currently in NSW and looking at purchasing an investment property in Tasmania. In this case, I would need to get a conveyancer or solicitor in Tasmania to sort out the conveyancing. Can someone clarify this? Any pitfalls I should watch out for since I will be in a different state as my conveyancer?

Having said that, does anyone know of any good conveyancer, building inspector and quantitiy surveyor in Tasmania ?

Thank you, any help is much appreciated :)

Yes use a Tas conveyancer. They know the local laws and systems.

The only real issue will be the added time for docs to be signed ets But factor this in and no problems.

Why buy in Tasmania? The outlook for growth is not promising and the populations isn’t growing.

    Cheers,

    hi Simon,

Tas is one of the places I am looking out for at the moment. NSW seems so overvalued and expensive. And as this will be my first IP, I want to get my foot in the door by investing small to begin with.

    Thanks Terry for the tip.

You guys know any building inspectors there or Quantity Surveyors?
