    I bought a serviced apartment off the plan in Wellington 2 years ago. It will settle soon.
    Price is $200,000 with 8% rental guarantee for 3 years.
    I wasn’t aware of this but recently I was told that I must register for GST as a property investor. When I checked IRD website it seems like I don’t need to.
    Can anyone clarify this for me ? I am an Australian citizen.
