All Topics / Value Adding / Return on renovating a Unit vs House
Hello all,
I am looking to buy another investment property, in particular something to renovate. I was originally looking at Units as they were more in my price range and I only wanted to do a basic reno. Now I am wondering because you cannot really do anything about the exterior of a unit if there is a much return on your investment when compared to working on a house?
Obviously working on a house and the exterior is an extra cost that needs to be taken into account however the improvements to a homes exterior are very visual and you can generate a “wow” factor when someone pulls into the driveway. With a unit you are reliant on the appeal of the building and your “wow” factor is limited to when people walk in the door.
Thoughts??
Cheers,
