Please contribute your creative ideas to develop a property.

I will start the ball rolling.

I heard from a bloke in Bundaberg once to go to roof framing manufactures and buy an ‘as new’ roof frame. Defected because of some small fault or not to customer’s design specifications so sold cheap buy the makers to get rid of it.

This seems one way to get a roof frame and tussle package. So that’s the roof. What other ways are there to get the other components.

If purchasing a block then making sure of existing services will save on money. Sewerage is costly, if it’s already their then saving on costs.

As far as a slab goes couldn’t an existing foundation be used to build on again, so therefore saving on the cost of a new slab to get poured.

I seen a nice looking neat residential home the other day looks very marketable from a re-sale perspective. It is the old red brick used to make a neat modern looking home with good finishes. So this can me the idea to use an old house that is getting knocked down selvage the bricks, yes more hard work, but would save on cost of new brick package.

What are ways to get tin that is good quality for a great price?

I just see all this shopping around would save thousands of what might normally be perceived as a builder package where you pay a lot more because your getting a building company to do it.

Another one I’m thinking of if getting a slab! Is work in a deal with the local concrete suppliers to pay them for the slab poured after the sale of the property and this would defer a big up front payment. Maybee offer them a little extra few hundred come payment time (but that worked into the deal contract) just to get the deal across the line sweeten it a bit for em.
