Signed an agreement with Felix Grasso R/E to rent my house in south Cairns. 6% sounded good, except that they advertised the place for two weeks without taking one application. Got onto their site and checked it out – they were advertising it in the wrong address! Cancelled the agreement – they refused to hand over the keys to the new property managers until I paid the advertising costs ($100+). On top of losing 3 weeks rent….
New Property manager took over. It was rented within a week.
I could have taken it to Fair Trading and won – but didn’t want to spend the time and effort.<deleted – question of integrity and character – inappropriate>
