Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading & learning in this forum for a while now and i’d like to ask for opinions on my plans for the future. My wife and i live and work in a small mining town in W.A (past 18 months) and are planning on staying here for another 3-4 years. We want to buy a block of land around Mandurah way and plan on saving the deposit this year and buying in Jan 07. This is where we plan to build a home for us to live in when we eventually move back to civilisation..
As there is a fairly long waiting list to build due to high demand and the skills shortage, I would like to use this time to borrow against the equity in the land and purchase an investment property or properties.We have never purchased any sort of property before and would appreciate your views on our plans or any helpful advice.
