    Hi all

I am setting up a trust with a corporate trustee with my cousin. My accountant has advised to have something legally on paper about the two of us forming the trust together before setting up the trust in case things turn sour. My solicitor has quoted $500 to do this which sounds a lot but happy to pay to get the structure right in the first place.

Does anyone have advice on what should be specified in the legal document to show our intentions of forming the trust together.

    Cheers,
    Matt

Cover everything that you can think of. Sit down with your cousin and brain storm for ideas eg % of ownership, a get out clause if either of you want to ect.

Even the small things can become big things if it goes sour.
