Hi I am a learner to the forum and investment property game hence yes the guy who was looking at owning two property’s for the term of his natural life negative geared with poor cash flow, that is untill I red Steve’s book and relised I need to change the approach. So kciking some ideas around possibly selling a half share in one property to take a step back and move forward still keeping a viable return. My first step is to network meet and greet some possible investment partners, have any of you guy’s got any networking storys that assisted yourself in a similar situation?

    Appreciate any comments, cheers.

I would be careful selling a half share. If you end up sharing a mortgage then most lenders will still consider you liable for the whole debt. Lots of other problems with shared ownership too.

Your neg geared places will be pos one day. Factor in all the selling costs and the stamp duty to buy the next place when you make your decision.

What is stopping you from buying pos geared properties from here on?

Just some points to think about – not advice as such.

Thanks for the response, yes the Sydney meeting sure looks good makes sense thanks again gross.

MH, thanks also, sound food for thought. I’ve found my biggest problem in finding someone who can help me understand the whole idea and be able apply my own situation, I’ve tried several banking advisers and the conversation usually starts of good but swings into an insurance sales pitch and more about how I can help them rather than how they can help me. I understand the share thing roughly but I realy enjoy the realestate game.
I think I’ll make my way to Syd in May sounds like a good stepping stone.

    Thanks best regards AG
