I am currently stuck with a negatively geared property. If we sell now we wont even be able to pay off the mortgage ( i’m learning all my lessons it seems with my first investment property)and i am looking at different options to try and at least pay off the mortgage. One option i was thinking of was something along the lines of the investor pays half now (so we can at least make the mortgage payments) with a final payment date 3-4 years down the line so the investor has the opportunity to do what he needs to and will be able to cash in when the market is going well again. I would appreciate any feedback as i am really at a loss about how to make a dollar or at least stop the losses with this property ( a one bedroom unit, top floor with lock up garage).
