More bad news about the property market.

This was just another sensationalist heading to capture attention. The figures they quote in the article give a negligible difference in the amount and volume for investment loans recently.
If the market is to falter significantly, the figures would be a lot worse, it seems to be just a variation in monthly data. It’s just a matter of when ‘bad news’ stories like these really do have an effect on sentiment that will ultimately undo the market, if they haven’t already…
Good pick up tho, Clones these type of stories are getting a lot more frequent.
Seeing as though you’ve put this article in the Help needed section, what help exactly are you seeking ??

I’ll put it more clearer just for you.
Investors are finally seeing that the sector has already had its best days, you can expect this overall downtrend to continue.

Play nice people
I don’t know about other forum members but when I think about an investor waiting for the property prices to drop to snap up a “good deal” I see a very old man with a stick.

Come on clones! If you can’t find a good deal in a growing area that’s fine.
Perhaps you need to expand your view a bit. I don’t mean to be condesending but as one of the others said there is not alot of info relavent to the headline in this story.
The term “investor” is thrown around in the media. Seems that some of the people acting this way are speculators, worse than that speculators without an exit strategy who are reacting rather than taking action.
Here’s the hopig that something positive can be found “right now” for everyone.

Hello Clones,
Can you spell “SCHADENFREUDE”?????
I can only guess that this strangest of human tendencies must be the driver behind your attitude.
Most of the so called experts that spend their days thinking up and writing articles of the ilk refererred to in this thread are “hard core” SCHADENFREUDE phreaks IMHO.
And if you don’t understand what I am saying in this post – I suggest you go and look it up.
I haven’t bothered to read the article…
But the more bad news out there, the better as far as I am concerned.
Less competition and therfore more scope to take advantage of all the opportunities out there.
Like Resi, we are busy, busy, busy, making great returns on property.
We are busier this year than we were last year, and next year will be busier than this year.
Lets hope the property market doesn’t turn ‘up’ as we are strugling to cope in the current ‘down’ market.I would dearly love to diversify and start investing in the share market for some balance, but we are just doing too well with property atm.
BTW, I also know many investors/forumites who are in the same boat…
