My partner & I have been looking at vacant land to build a holiday home on. Planning on putting in an offer in the next couple of days.
Land under 100K suits me as i have a budget of only 75K to build.
A builder may charge anywhere up to 150K for what i have in mind for the house.
So i am definately going to be an owner builder.
Question relates to the names on the offer/title.
Do all the named people on the offer/title have to make the application to be the owner builder?
I am in WA and know there to be restrictions on doing another owner builder project within a certain time frame.
At this stage i am thinking of putting only my partners name on the offer/title, allowing myself to have only my name on any future offer/title that we plan to do another owner builder on.
Anyone done something similar??
