Has anyone here invested in properties in regional centres? After looking in the Sunday Mail and seeing prices in places like Mackay have soared, and having family in Gympie and seeing what the property market is doing there, it makes me wonder if this would be a good place to invest.

House and Land prices are cheap (compared to Brisbane) and the demand seems to be increasing for properties in these regional centres.

It is easy to buy property in places that have soared. But what is the point? Yields will be down and there may not be much CG left in it for the short to medium term.

The challenge lies in identifying those places that are yet to soar!

Or even just starting to trend up!
