I have just come across 14 horse stables, 2 sandrolls, 2 washbays, 4 day yards with shelters and 1 arena for sale for $20 000. Apparently they will or are rented for $10/week each.
Has anyone ever invested in this type of thing before, and if so is there anything I would need to be aware of?

I have stables that I rent out. We are asking 25 dollars per week per stable . This is in new stables with a central hallway , tack room , feed room and wash. We also have a work area for the horses and are near the race track. I guess the price people will pay will depend on locality and also the quality of the infrastructure. We are in a rural setting. You also will need to provide space for the feed and tack and determine who is responsible for the horses should something go wrong . You can get agistment documents that allude to such matters.I know that it cost us in the order of 100k for our stables and arena. What you have quoted sounds cheap – but then again it depends on the age of the buildings and the land size and locality.
