    My husband has been well and truly turned off investing in our Trust that we have set up since the announcement of the new Land Tax rates for Discretionary Trusts. Could someone please tell me the new rate and any other information that they may have. I have surfed the net butnot found any information. My husband relise on what he reads in the newspaper.

    I haven’t herd of new tax rate scales for Trusts…

    What State are you refering too??

    Yep, Bracksy wants to increase the Land Tax on Trusts by thousands.
    Basically the land tax STARTS at 1% of land component.

    It really increases the cost of using a trust in Vic for your first few IPs..
