Hello,
I wondered if anyone can recommend the good suburbs to invest in, in Canberra?
Also, does anyone know of a good website where you can search houses for sale in Canberra?
cheers,

Try the usual one’s if you haven’t already;
HI
Tuggernong Valley is up and coming and Canberra is predicted to be one of the best growth areas over the coming years. Try Conder (in the south) or Gordon – still some good priced properties.
I do a fair bit of business in Canberra in the property market. If you let me know what you’re looking for, I can perhaps steer you in the right direction and to some good agents.
Cheers
Thanks for everyone’s replies.
I like the look of the Gungahlin area. I heard somewhere, actually I think Paul Clithero (that Money man) said that suburbs in Gungahlin were good places to invest, he mentioned the suburb Ngunnawal. The area looks nice. And I agree with Canberra being one of the best growth areas in coming years, hence why I’m looking to invest there [biggrin]
thanks for the input.
cheers,
mookyGungahlin is a well established area, we have relatives that live there and we visit often, Canberra is having great growth, but it all depends on what are you after as an investment…

Canberra is very much a north side and south side town seperated by lake burley griffith. People who grow up on the south side would rarely moved to the north and visa versa.Ngunnawal is north and is close to belconnen town centre and gungahlin town centre(still constructing). One thing of worry is the streets can be very narrow compared to the rest of Canberra. It is new modern and alot of families. North side closer to Sydney/Melbourne to drive and south side closer to snow. In normal traveling time you can get from one side of Canberra to the other in 30 minutes.
Agree with other posts as best way to find a property in Canberra.
cheers

I have a great Investment Property for sale in Ngunnawal, Canberra, if you’re interested?
