    Hi,

Another first time user! Booked in for the master class, read the books, now just trying to sort myself out and get ready to make some of those big life changes I’ve read about.

I am currently trying to get my finances in order and want to better track how and where we spend our money. But in thinking longer term (to when we have that extensive portfolio) the gurus out there must have systems to help track the financials specifically for their properties etc. Would someone be able to pass on some suggestions as to any Real estate financial property programmes that are off the shelf and worth looking at.

It would be very much appreciated!

I have started to investigate Quicken as a basic starting point, but it doesn’t appear to allow you to include IP’s

    Thanking you in anticipation

    Hi CR,

I prefer to keep things simple – I have an excel spreadsheet that tracks income and outgoings for each property.

Come tax time I take the sheet into my accountant and give him the information.

    Hi CR

Derek’s idea of an excel spreadsheet works well. If you can’t design one or find someone else that can, RentManager is a program that tracks all aspects of income and exp for as many properties as you like, and is quite simple to use. Email me if you are interestd and I will let you know the cost and where I got it from.
