[buz2]Does anybody know anywhere I can find free info on median house prices. All the sites that I have looked at charge for the info. There must be somewhere you can access this information.
GavinhHi Gavinh,
http://allhomes.com.au/c/ah? publishes median house prices for Canberra suburbs.
http://www.ourbrisbane.com/living/suburbs/ has median prices for Brisbane suburbs (albeit out of date) – hopefully they will get around to updating soon.
Australian Property Investor magazine publishes median prices for each state – monthly magazine.
Hope this helps.[cap]
Any particular area?
Thanks squeaker_d.
Foundation I am after median prices for all centers (regional and cities) in general. Mainly for my own research purposes.Historical data series from 1970 to 2003:
Sydney & Melbourne
Adelaide Houses
Adelaid Units
SA
Perth
Hobart
Darwin
CanberraFor the latest data you can check the state Real Estate ‘Institute’ (although I’d be inclined to test how far I can throw them first![biggrin])
Plenty of other good research material out there:

thanks foundation
GavinH,
Try these – they work on post codes, rather than suburbs – but could be worthwhile for you.
I like Aussievaluer as it includes a bit more than most, but they do limit the number of inquiries you can make per month.

Cheers, F.[cowboy2]Hi Foundation
Can you help me with the Historical Data series for Qld (Brisbane and major regional centres)?
I’m applying the impressive method Peter Spann outlines in his book “$10 Million Property Portfolio in 10 Years” to decide which specific suburbs fit very strict criteria. To this end, I need at least 10 years data on each suburb/ town/city.
By the way, LOVED your Financial Demographics website! [biggrin]
Cheers
Greg
