Hello all, all the best for the new year.

Myself and a friend have finally found two properties to buy and have since applied for a loan through a local mortgage broker. Have been approved, but are faced with large loan insurance and early repayment fees (as one property we are renovating and selling on). This house will cost us approximately $3000. Is there anyway of avoiding these costs?[confused2]

Contact another broker to double check the deal he has offered.

Plenty here on the forum who will be honest with you.

Mortgage insurance may be unavoidable but early repayment fees can certainly be avoided.

Ask your broker why he has chosen that particular lender and if he has any other lenders on his panel that have little or no early payment fees. Also check with some other brokers.
